Innovation- The Key to Success during Economic Crisis

Innovation is fast becoming the key to success with the current Economic crisis making customers and buyers more thoughtful in their spending. It’s now time for all the companies to add value and bring innovation to their product offering to offer more to the user and hence provide an added advantage to their product.

The most important key towards Innovation is – The will to grow.

Growth is different from something that happens to you. You produce it. You live it. The fundamental for growth is the openness to experience events and the willingness to be changed by them.

Here are some important things to look upon while thinking about innovation:

Focus on the Process– When result drives the process you will only reach to where you have already been. If process drives the result we may not know where we’re going, but we will know we want to be there.

Go deep– The deeper you go, the more likely you are to discover something incredible.

Study– Your workplace is a place of study. Use the need to produce as an excuse to study and you will see everyone around you would also benefit.

Start anywhere– We all know that where to begin is a common form of paralysis. One Advice: begin anywhere.

Ask brainless questions– Growth is stimulated by desire and innocence. Assess the answer, not the question. Try and learn all through your life at the rate of a newborn.

Be a Team– The space between people working together is filled with disagreements, resistance, discord and also with excitement, delight, and vast creative potential.

Be a Great Listener– Anyone who enters your orbit brings with him or her a world more extraordinary and complex than anyone could ever hope to imagine. By listening to the details and the subtlety of their needs, desires, or ambitions, we fold their world onto our own. And then neither party will ever be the same.

Take a Break– Coffee break, cab rides, green rooms are the places where real inspiration happens and new ideas generate. As there is a popular saying- Real growth often happens outside of where we intend it to.

Have Fun– It is important for everyone to work in a Great harmonious environment. Be Free, Expressive and Happy about what you are doing. I use people around me laughing and being happy as an indicator of how comfortable we are expressing ourselves.
